Edward Frank Zelenka, Jr., 72, of Bryan, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019. A Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9th at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers. The Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 10th at Bethel Lutheran Church with the graveside service to follow in Bryan City Cemetery.

Edward was born on July 13, 1946 in Houston to his parents, Thelma and Edward Zelenka, Sr. He earned a Degree in Chemistry from Sam Houston State University. Ed had a career in the air conditioning industry for 40 years where he earned numerous awards to include Top Salesman of the Year. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the world in his motor home with his wife, Kathy, and Dee Lois and Jimmy Sullivan. Ed was a hardworking man, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Edward Zelenka, Sr.; and his sister, Karen Warwick.

Ed is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy Zelenka; children, Jeramie Zelenka and wife, Amber, Christine Loya, Wayne Kammerl and Jenny; grandchildren, Abby Piper and fiancé, Ethan Townsend, Mia Loya, Laramie Zelenka, Landon Zelenka, and Landry Zelenka; sisters, Dee Lois Sullivan and husband, Jimmy, Linda Milam and husband, Mike, Jennifer Ortiz and husband, George; nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.

Serving as Pallbearers are Jimmy Sullivan, James Sullivan, David Sullivan, Steven Sullivan, Ethan Townsend, and Mike Leo.

Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, 3001 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX.

  1. I have been cleaning for Ed and Kathy for a little over a year and i always looked forward to coming in the house and here him say hello there gal how are ya! He was such a kind man and very knowledgeable on so many things and could be pretty funny. I will miss seeing him every other Monday. He has a special place in my heart and Kathy is such a sweet person i have been so blessed by them both. We have blessed assurance that Ed is resting with Jesus and no suffering and will see him agian someday. Reast easy friend.

  5. I the plaesure of meeting Ed a few times when he came to Houston with Kathy to visit Wayne, and I always enjoyed his stories and he was kind and I liked talking with him. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy, Wayne and the family during this time.
