Elida M. Garcia

Elida M. Garcia, 77, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday July 10, 2018 surrounded by family. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m., on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S College Ave in Bryan. Her life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at Christ the Good Shepherd, 600 South Coulter Dr. in Bryan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan. Funeral services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Elida was born July 7, 1941, in Martindale, Texas, to John and Epifania Miranda. She has lived in this area for most her lifetime. She especially enjoyed cooking meals for her family, and spending time gardening and she had great love for all her plants.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rey Garcia; daughters, Regina Garcia, Rosie Garcia; and her father.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Irene Chavez, Diana Garcia, Patsy and Richard Zamora; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Cynthia Garcia, Ricky and Irene Garcia; mother, Epifania Miranda; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Carmen Miranda; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Alice Sanchez, Oralia Perez, Connie and Jesse Rodriguez, Hope and Alex Garcia, Mary and Tim Ontiveros, Janie and Benson Narro; nineteen grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren.
