May 24, 1920 – May 10, 2013

Ella O. Meier, 92, of Bryan, passed away Friday May 10, 2013 at the St. Joseph Manor in Bryan. Her family will receive friends during a visitation from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday May 13, 2013, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Bryan City Cemetery. Pastor Karl Tewold will officiate. Service arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ella was born in Washington County May 24, 1920, to Oscar and Martha Wolff. She has lived in the Bryan area for sixty one years, moving here from Giddings. Ella was retired from the Weingartens. She was a member of Faith United Church in Bryan, where she also belonged to the Women’s Guild. She was also a regular participant of the Weingartens retirement annual group meetings.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Wolff, Hilda Schulz, Helen Sweet, Emma Harmel, and her parents.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Darby and Pam Meier of Bryan; daughters and son-in-law, Lois Coneley of Iola, Guydene and Ronnie Moon of Amarillo; brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Dorothy Wolff of Bryan; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Arrington of Giddings, Bernice (Speedy) and Johnny Gurka of Brenham; grandchildren, Patrick Moon, Kevin Meier, Kim Weiser; great grandchildren, Cody Meier, Courtney Meier, Dylan Moon, and Keaton Weiser.
