Emma Jane Nichols

Emma Jane Nichols

June 10, 1941 – March 8, 2006

Emma Jane Nichols of Bryan, Texas passed from this life into the presence of God on March 8, 2006 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Emma Jane was born on June 10, 1941 in North Zulch, Texas to James and Cora Maddox.

On October 30, 1959 she married her soulmate, James (Nick) Nichols. From that moment on they were inseparable.

She was a homemaker and also cleaned new houses after they were completed, but the thing that she was happiest doing was being a devoted and caring wife to James (Nick is what she called him). When he went out on the job, whether it be training horses, stacking brick, or trimming trees she was there by his side and they loved every minute of it. Very rarely did you see one without the other. If something was needed on a job she made sure it was there. Emma Jane was also an excellent cook and could make a meal out of just a few ingredients. You never saw her without a big smile on her face. She loved her life with Nick and vice versa. During the last twelve years of her life, James cared for her. She is gone from this life, but as a believer in Christ Jesus to be absent from the earthly life is to be present with the Lord.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and her sisters, Margie Heath and Janice Lange. Emma is survived by a niece and two nephews.
