Gary Cobler

Gary Lee Cobler, 72, of Bryan passed away Saturday May 27, 2017. His memorial Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Wheels, 3000 N. Texas Ave. in Bryan. His family is honored to invite all his friends to come celebrate Gary’s life on Memorial Day. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Gary was born July 25, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio, to William Earl and Eileen Hoffman Cobler. Gary was retired from truck driving and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Cobler, and his parents.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Katherine Chesson, Douglas Cobler, Allen and Michelle Trahan; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Shehadeh, Leanne Cobler, Eileen Cobler and Jon Branchau, Brenda and Jeff Billings, Colleen Bennie; brother, William Cobler and wife Cindy; sixteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; and his friend Dee Blackmon.

  2. Gary, you are already so missed. There is a huge hole left by your passing. We understand that you were such a special person that we only got to have you for a little while. Keep the beer cold. We’ll be there to see you when we get called. Love you

  3. Gary was a genuine, hard working man. He had a kind heart and was loved by many. I will never forget him. There is a hole in my heart.

  4. As hard as I try I can’t stop crying for you, I know you are in a better place with no pain and or suffering. I wasn’t and not ready to say goodbye. I love you so much daddy and I will miss you everyday until we are together again.

  5. I can not believe my dear sweet loving friend is gone. We laughted prayed and shared a special friendship. I send my love and prayers to all that love him and will dearly miss him. God bless

  6. Still miss you daddy, I keep hoping you will call my phone and say hey Peachie popper. I’m trying though cuz I know your in a better place. I love you daddy.
