  4. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a classmate and friend from the College of Veterinary Medicine at TAMU. We last spoke by phone a couple of months ago and he had been in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Jerry and I were classmates at the College of Veterinary Medicine at TAMU. He was a very sharp student and a kind friend. The veterinary profession has lost an outstanding practitioner.

  6. Dear Stephanie
I am so very sorry for your loss and I will miss jerry’s company on our hunting escapades. He was one of the most genuine good hearted folks I’ve ever met. When he came down to hunt with us last year he really wanted to hunt out of a ‘pirogue’ with us, and we abliged. He showed me and Derek up with his shooting skills from a somewhat unstable platform. He would outwork most of us ‘young’ guys in the marsh.
Incredibly interesting and sincere fella. I feel lucky to have known him and share our enjoyment of hunting, cooking, and good whiskey together. I will miss his company and wisecracks and you will be in my prayers.

  7. Stephanie and Stanfeld family:
We are so sorry. Jerry was a great friend to us and he will be dearly missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathy.

  8. Dear Stephanie
Words can’t describe how sorry we are for your loss. We are all better for the time we were able to spend hunting with Gerry. He was the kind of guy that meeting him once you felt as though you’ve known him a lifetime. He was as genuine as anyone I’ve every known and had such a positive outlook, he was a lot of fun to be with. I know I can speak for the boys from Louisiana we will miss his company on the hunts and the after party’s we’re always just as fun. Please give our condolences to your entire family!
    Sincerely

  9. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jerry. He was such a good friend. He had a wonderful
sense of humor. I worked for him when he was running the breeding operation for Bud Sweazea in Georgetown so very many years ago. I enjoyed working as his vet assistant. I learned a lot. He was a wonderful man.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and children. A great loss indeed.
