Jake Allen

Jake Ray Allen of Bryan College Station died unexpectedly in a car accident on highway 21, north of Crockett, TX on October 26th 2015, at the age of 24.

Jake Ray Allen was born October 23, 1991 to his loving parents, Judd and Julie Allen. Jake grew up in the homeschool community of the Bryan College Station area. He graduated high school and married the love of his life, Priscilla Rosezella Linder. In their four years of marriage Jake and Priscilla had 3 beautiful children, Rosezella (3), Zander (2), and Abel (6 months).

Jake, first and foremost, was a man of God who worked hard at being an example of Christ to each person he encountered. He was a very loving husband and father, who worked hard to provide the very best for his family. Coming from a large family, Jake was an individual who always put others above himself and enjoyed the opportunity to help family, friends, and neighbors.

Jake was also very involved with the Aggieland Homeschool Varsity Boys basketball team. After being their biggest fan last year, Jake decided to become an assistant coach for this season. He was a great example to the boys and he truly cared and wanted the best for each player on the team. His passion for the game was infectious, along with the joy he brought to every practice.

Jake was a man that set the bar high and he lived every day as if it were his last. He did not complain about the small things in life, but instead looked for ways to make the world a better place. His focus during his last days, was centered around what Jesus taught us in Matthew 22:37-39, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Jake Ray Allen is survived by his parents, Jud and Julie Allen of College Station, TX; wife Priscilla Rosezella Allen; his 3 children Rosezella, Zander, and Abel; his brother Jud and his wife Deidre and their children Jameson and Electra, his brother Jon and his wife Tyla, his brother Jeremiah, and his three sisters Joy, Jenna, and Julianna; his wife’s parents Steve and Renee Linder; his wife’s sister Brittany Schroeder and her husband Will, and his wife’s brother Caleb Linder.

A funeral is scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday October 29th, 2015 at Antioch Community Church, 1803 Briarcrest Dr. Bryan, TX. The visitation starts at 2:00 and a graveside service will follow the funeral at Bryan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in support of Jake’s wife Priscilla and their three children through a Go Fund me account (https://www.gofundme.com/g47c3gec), or checks can be sent to Callaway-Jones Funeral Home at 3001 S. College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801.
