James “Buzz” Everett Kirk

James “Buzz” Everett Kirk, 71, of Iola, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019. He was born on October 9, 1947 in Bryan, TX. Buzz graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology. He honorably served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard, and was a Vietnam Veteran. Buzz had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Henrietta Kirk; and his sister, Robin Kirk.

Buzz is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Peoples-Kirk; step-daughters, Tracy Kohler and husband, Mike, and Johnna Bueno; grandchildren, Blake, Riley, Ana, Beau, and Mia; brother, Robert Kirk; sister, Debi Kirk; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, August 16th followed by Military Honors provided by American Legion Post # 159 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX. A private inurnment will be held at Aggie Field of Honor Cemetery, College Station.
