Condolences

  1. Rusty,

I read in the paper about your father’s passing. Know that my condolences are with you and your family.

    Russell

  2. From all the residents at Waldenbrooke, we want you to know how much we enjoyed Witt and miss him. He was a good friend.

    Our sincerest condolences.

  3. To the family of Jim and Madlyne Witt:

Friends of the 40th and 41st Squadrons from Laredo Air Force Base send our condolences to the family. We all have our own fond remembernces of our time spent with Jim and Madlyne.

  4. Rusty and Mother,

The care you took of Jimmy as he grew old was extraordinary. The many visits, the special food you cooked and brought him, the other little comforts you provided him no doubt brought happiness to his life. I know you’ll miss him always.

  5. To the family of Colonel Witt:

“Jimmy” as my parents always called him, was bigger than life, and I have many fond memories of him, your sweet mom, and “Missy Witt” the Dog in Turkey! We first met the Witts in Ankara, and I was always enthralled by the Colonel’s flying stories. The Witts and the Ropers, were two of the finest examples of “the greatest generation”. My parents (Bette and Ray) loved your folks. I believe they are all in Heaven, and I’m sure there is a grand reunion going on!

You are in my prayers ~ Bob Roper
