James Warren Buchan

James Warren Buchan, 78, of College Station passed away on Sunday, September 14, in Bryan. His family will hold a private service at a later date. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Jim was born to Homer and Mary Buchan, in Cassapolis, Michigan. He entered the military in 1954 to 1957 serving in the Army. Jim continued his long career as Master Baker beginning at Norte Dame and ending at Texas A&M University at Duncan Hall in 1982. He taught students at various high schools and spoke at various seminars about baking. He enjoyed his travels to Florida as well as to Alaska.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his wife of 39 years, Dorothy Leda Buchan; his four sons; his six step-children; his brother; his three step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation gifts can be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
