Jean Todd Johnson died January 11, 2016 College Station, Texas at the age of 78. Jean was born in near Collinsville, Mississippi, on October 17, 1937, daughter of the late Royce Dewitt Todd and Ollie Beeman Todd. She graduated from Collinsville High and married her first husband, Wilbur Clay Gressett. Jean raised her family in Beaumont, Texas, where she retired as a registered nurse in 2001. After retirement, she returned to live in Meridian where she pursued her love of line dancing, feeding the birds and squirrels in the yard and spending time with her grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Ollie Todd, her first husband, Wilbur Clay Gressett, and a daughter, Donna Jean Gressett.
She is survived by daughters, Shirley (Fred) Dupriest of College Station, TX and Patricia Woods of Brandenburg, KY; brothers, Kenneth (Wynell) Todd of Collinsville, MS, Herschel (Leona) Todd of Springfield, OR and Lamar (Patsy) Todd of Canon City, CO; and grandsons, Daniel Dupriest, Jonathan Woods, Jacob Woods, and Joshua Woods.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate and honor the life of Jean Johnson from 2PM -4PM with a Life Celebration on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 1399 Roebuck Drive, Meridian, MS.
