Jerry Rumley

Jerry Norris Rumley, Sr., 85, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January, 19, 2018. Jerry was born in Dallas, Tx, on June, 29, 1932. He was a graduate of Highland Park Highschool and attended Texas University and graduated from SMU in 1954, then served in the Navy for two years. Jerry was a retired investment banker and stockbroker.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Hazel Danna Smith Rumley, of Dallas, Tx., a step-daughter, Shannon Smith Scarmardo and husband Mark C Scarmardo, of Bryan, Texas. A step-daughter-in-law, Mandy Murski, of Dallas, Tx, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Jeanne Rumley, of Dallas, Tx, Brother-in-law, Dr. William C. Woodard, Sr. of Dallas, Tx, Nieces and nephews, Scott Rumley and wife Heather of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Rumley and wife Jan of Arlington, Tx, Mary Jane Rumley of Olympia, Washington, and great nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Grace Woodard of Dallas, Tx, a brother, Dr. John L. Rumley, of Dallas, Tx, a son, Jerry Norris Rumley, Jr. (Kip) of Dallas, Tx.

A memorial service will be held in Bryan, Texas, February 1, 2018, with Monsignor John C Malinowski, Celebrant. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, Texas, 77802. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station, Texas.

We will be eternally grateful for the loving care and support from his caregivers, Marilyn Demeritt, Yolanda Everline, and Evelyn Franklin and from the staff of St. Joseph Manor in Bryan, Texas.
