  7. Prayers for my Father. My name is D’Arcy Phelan-Morrell. My birth name was Johannah D’Arcy Gordon, born July 1, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. John Everett Gordon was my Father. He and my Mother, Sharon Anne Phelan, now known legally as Courtenay McDade Phelan were married briefly in Beaumont and had three children together, myself, the eldest, and my Brother, Jack and Sister, Courtenay, Jr.

I wish we had all had time to know him throughout our lives. There is so much we will never was able to know or understand about him. We only met a few times in my life. Once, while I was a teen in college, my Mother drove my siblings and myself to his home to meet him. As a teenager, it was odd and painful for me. I never understood why he did not ever contact me, reach out to me, or ever try to know me as I became the adult of 53 years old. Why he had no involvemen in our lives is very sad, and now even sadder with him gone. I pray his soul rests in peace, and we someday meet in heaven.

My heartfelt sorrow is expressed to his most current family Members mourning his loss.

I would have greatly appreciated anyone contacting me regarding his passing. I am sorry to learn of his death through my internet search this morning, January 2, 2016. Oddly, I awoke this morning sensing something was wrong. He came into my thoughts, provoking me to search any information I could find online. Sadly, this news was found. Tearfully I now know what woke me early this morning. I will share this news with my family. My deepest condolences to all who mourn his loss.

My prayers are with you a Father.

  8. May John’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in His peace. I pray for peace and consolation for all his family and friends.

  9. Johnny and I played in both Edgar and Johnny winter’s bands . Johnny was a good friend and musician, May he rest in peace. My condolence to ALL his family.
