  7. Jon,

I will truly miss you, man. You were a great friend and a great man of God. I will miss randomly running into you at Lowes. I will forever miss our endless conversations about politics and other random topics.

You being gone is going to be felt at Central for a long time to come. If more of us were like you we wouldn’t need much outreach.

Love you buddy, and I guess that rain check on getting lunch will have to wait until I get there where you are. Save a seat for me. And maybe put in a good word with the Lord about getting the Aggies that Natty.

    • Beautiful expression of friendship and love for a truly wonderful guy Tony! It’s amazing how your thoughts on Jon match mine so well. Jon owes me a lunch date too so I’m hoping he’ll save us both a seat at the masters’ table. I describe Jon to folks as everyone’s best friend! He never met an enemy and had the most smooth and easy going personality I’ve ever met! He was also very intelligent since he described me as a very wise man! LOL.

    • Tony, Jon valued your friendship. I have so many fond memories of the times we spent with you and Emily in our small group, and birthday parties and get-togethers at each other’s homes. Thank you for your encouraging and heartfelt words.

      Hugs,
      Lisa

  8. Love and prayers for you Lisa as y’all walk through this time. May the Lord bless and comfort each of you in His special care.

  9. My heart grieves with this sweet family. Jon was a man of many talents and I am thankful our earthly paths crossed. I pray for his precious wife and children and know God’s comforting and loving arms will sustain them in the tough days ahead. My love. Margaret Young

  10. Lisa, we are heartbroken. We are praying ceaselessly for you, the kids, and the family. May The Lord comfort you during this time. Love you, sister.

    • Thank you so much, Julie. We need the prayer covering, and thank you so much for lifting us up.

      Love and hugs,
      Lisa

  11. Jon was one of the most authentic and consistent individuals we have known. His life was tangible evidence of the goodness and power of Jesus. Jon clearly had a peace that surpassed all understanding. He had a joy that was bigger than anything this world has to offer. He had a hope in great things that will certainly come to pass. He loved Jesus with all his heart, with all his mind, with all his soul, and with all his strength. We are better people today because of the example that Jon set for us all. Jon, thank you for pouring your life into our children. Thank you for having courage to stand for Christ. Thank you for living a life worthy of following. Thank you for being our friend. Lisa, Micah and Zoe, we love you and are praying fervently for you.

    • Sarah, Jay, and sweet little ones, thank you for your encouraging and life-giving words. They made me smile as well as tear up. Your heartfelt reflections will continue to serve as an encouragement to Micah, Zoe, and me. Thank you for praying for us.

      Love and hugs,
      Lisa

  14. Jon became a dear friend when we lived in College Station. His quiet yet powerful faith touched our lives and we were made better for knowing him. His wonderful smile, ability to make anyone feel comfortable and deep well of knowledge made him an absolute joy to be around. Even as tears spring to our eyes at knowing he is no longer here in this earthly home a sense of joy that he is in the presence of our Savior also rises up. Our heart breaks for Lisa and his family. Jon’s light for Christ will continue to shine through them and through all the lives he has impacted over the years. Prayers for this sweet family.

    • Hi Timothy and Michelle, we sure counted it a joy to have met you both when we came to Central. Thank you for your encouraging and heartfelt words; they mean a lot. We love y’all.

  16. Mrs. Perrott,

I never knew him, yet he was one of my favorite people. It’s hard to put to words, but your husband’s presence somehow made me feel better. Jon was my son’s and daughter’s Sunday School teacher. He always had that smile, and his genuine hello made me feel at ease. The way he served, the way he carried himself… it made me want to be a better man. I know you understand the extraordinary person he was. I just wanted to share the influence your husband still brings. Thanks for all you have done for others. We are here for you.

    Joshua Rhine

      Lisa

  22. We are deeply sorry to know of Jon’s passing. We are thinking of you constantly, Lisa, Micah, and Zoe. We will never forget how beautifully he kept your yard. Even though that is superficial, we feel it was a reflection of the beauty of Jon’s soul.

  23. Lisa, Micah, & Zoe, we were very shocked & sorry to hear about Jon’s sudden passing. We are praying for y’all constantly!!! Know this is not goodbye, just a see you later. Jon loved Jesus with everything in him. It was felt by all who know him. He is greatly missed!! Love y’all!

  24. Jon was one of the most loving and caring men I know who clearly lived a life striving for God’s righteousness. He leaves a void in each of our hearts. Prayers and support for Lisa, Micah, and Zoey. He will always live in theirs and our hearts.

  25. What a kind soul he was. I worked in an affiliated area of AgriLife and often passed him coming and going in the parking lot or buildings on campus. He loved his family and was dedicated to his profession. I’m sad for your loss – too soon – of this great man.

  26. Our hearts are at loss here, but because of Jesus, Jon is at forever peace. Lisa and family, we pray for you and God’s strength to carry you now.

  27. Dear Perrot Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences of your recent loss. Mr. Perrot was an intelligent and accomplished man. My prayers for your family.

  28. Jon has always been the most gentle and kind person. He loved to talk about his wife and children and show pictures. He always encouraged me in the Lord and asked how I was doing, he really was genuinely interested in my life and family. I know he is in the Lord’s heavenly place, still encouraging and teaching as he was made to do. My heart is sad for you and his family, I will keep you guys in my prayers. I pray for a “grace bubble” to cover you in this season, helping you be strong in your weakness.

  29. Lisa,

Your beloved husband will sincerely be missed but never forgotten! It was truly a pleasure having the opportunity to know him within our agency. It was always great talking to him about our Lord and Savior. His faith and belief showed every single time he smiled. May you and your family be comforted by the “Supreme Comforter”. WE will be lifting your family up in prayers during this time. May you and your loved ones be constantly surrounded by His LOVE, HIS PRESENCE and HIS PEACE.

We are so deeply saddened to learn about Jon. He was such a kind and caring man who’s love for his family showed immensely. Every time he came in to the office he was smiling and so kind. 37. It is with deep sadness and profound respect that I send my thoughts to you Lisa and Zoe and Micah. Jon was a quiet gentle man spreading goodness, kindness and God’s love in a turbulent world. Just as Moses off the mountain, he exuded a spirit that spoke to the world of his relationship with God. And in his path everyone who knew him respected him. He was a man of honor and that is a rare quality. His life was a legacy of integrity and we have been blessed to have known him as friend. Please accept our deep sympathy and homage for your beloved. Judy and Bryan Wood

Jon was a great God fearing man
Who would spread the word by his actions

  41. To Lisa, Micah and Zoe and to Brian, Curtis and Rennie and your families, I’m so sorry about Adrian. I’m still trying to figure out how that could have happened. With the loss of Amber, and Clarence being on life support right now, I know how bad it feels to lose a sibling and I can’t imagine how you are feeling Lisa, or the children. I will say feel what you feel without apologies, that’s the only way to start the healing process from this hurt. God has to comfort you, because no matter what people say it can’t always touch the place where only God can go. Jesus said,”Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.” I am praying for you all. Love you all, your cousin Annie

  44. Lisa,
I was privileged to know Jon and serve with him as a deacon as well as with him on the pastor search nominating committee. I was looking forward to Jon’s leadership of our deacon body before the Lord called him home.
I can’t begin to imagine the loss for you and your kids. Anyone who knew Jon at all has no doubt as to his home now. But the loss for those of us on this side of heaven is real.
Praying for you and your family. Ready to serve in any way I can as I’m one of a couple of deacons who’ve been asked to try to fill some incredibly big shoes Jon left behind in our deacon leadership.
