Juanita Alvarado, 86, of Bryan, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at her residence. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 7, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. A graveside service is set for 10 a.m., Monday, March 8, at the Bryan City Cemetery.
Juanita was born November 30, 1923, in Lockhart, Texas, to Refugio and Maria Rueda. She has been a lifelong resident of Bryan. The family would like to give a special thank you to her long time caretaker, Lovie Haywood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Alvarado.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Shirley Alvarado, of Bryan, Texas, Adam and Kathy Alvarado, of Bryan, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Toribio Rueda, of Bryan, Texas, Daniel and Maria Rueda, of Conroe, Texas, Zeke and Irene Rueda, of Navasota, Texas; sister, Mary Ann Garcia, of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Tony Alvarado and wife Jamie, of College Station, Texas, Nicky Alvarado and wife Lindsey, of Bryan, Texas, Jason Alvarado and wife Amy, of Bryan, Texas, Sonya Alvarado, Bret Alvarado, and Stephanie Alvarado, all of Bryan, Texas; and five great grandchildren.Print This Obituary
