Judy Joiner

Judy Kathryn (Gough) Joiner, 66, passed away on June 15, 2017.

A visitation will be held from 12-1pm, with memorial service at 1pm, both Friday, July 7, 2017 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S. College Ave, Bryan, TX  77801.

Judy was born on July 14, 1950, in Bryan, Texas, to Edmond Daniel Gough and Mary Ruth (Canady) Gough. She was a life-long resident of Bryan and Houston until her transition to the Kansas City area five years ago. She was a teacher, principal, and administrator for over 40 years for Bryan ISD. She touched the lives of many, many children and was a beloved mentor to students and teachers alike. She enjoyed worshipping God at First Baptist Church as well as First United Methodist Church. Judy also loved to travel and make precious memories with her children and grandchildren.

Since her death, her father E. Dan Gough has crossed over to join her in heaven.
She is survived by her mother Mary; daughter, Keana (Joshua) Frey; son, Daniel (Rebel) Strohmeyer; sisters, Sharon Oldaker, Danna Gough, and Janis (Bubba) Lero; grandchildren Avery, Reagan, Ralph, Rowen, Renleigh, and Rebel.  Survivors also include fiancé, Larry Thompson and his children and grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice in her honor at 14310 E. 42nd St S. Unit 600; Independence, MO, 64055.

    I had had lost touch with Judy and did not know she had moved. Sam and I stood up for her when Dr. Mapled married she and Bob. She was a dear and special person

  3. Keana & Daniel- such a sweet service today. I was supposed to tell you that Willie McConnell was so sorry she couldn’t be there – she was out of town.
