June 11, 1944 – November 14, 2013

Kennard Adam Ramsey, with his family by his side, passed away Thursday November 14, 2013 due to a prolonged illness. A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Ave. in Bryan, Texas. Reitha Hullum will be officiating the service.

He was born to Marshall Leonard and Ida Josephine Ramsey June 11, 1944 in Cross, Texas. Kennard graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas. He was a brick mason for most of his life. He loved to fish from lakes and rivers, but fishing from the beaches and rocks in Galveston was his favorite. Kennard was a great cook, from the kitchen to the BBQ pit.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his brother Leonard Marshall Ramsey and sister, Morrall Eugenia Ramsey.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Peggy Ramsey; son Ken Allen Ramsey; daughters and sons-in-law Christy and Randall Hammond, Sue Ellen and Santos Perez; sisters Martha Dee Moody and Mary Bajenske; grandchildren Keven, Emily, Travis, Katie, Paige, Vivian, Ariel; and one great-grandchild, Lily.
Kennard will be greatly missed. God’s speed and we will see you again one day.
