Kevin Robert Ellis

Kevin Robert Ellis, 58, passed away peacefully June 28, 2013 in Bryan, Texas. Kevin was born March 12, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to Rennie Alton Ellis Jr. and Elizabeth Keith Ellis. He leaves a loving wife, Debra Lynne Ellis; daughters, Ashley Nicole Ellis and Natalie Kay Ellis; grandchildren, Braden Matthew Gipson, Emalie Dean Gipson, and Kaydence Jo Ellis; brother, David Rennie Ellis and wife, Patti, and their children, David Rennie “Bo” Ellis, Molly Christine Bass and Emily Blair Bass, in addition to extended family members and good friends.

Kevin was raised in Baytown, Texas and enjoyed a long and successful career with G B Biosciences. He will be long remembered for his quick and ready sense of humor and beautiful woodworking, many of which are already family heirlooms.

A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Hill of Rest Cemetery in Baytown, Texas. Kevin will be laid to rest in the Ellis Family section in a plot adjoining his grandparents, Rennie Alton Ellis, Sr. and Louella Ellis and maternal great grandparents, Theodore Alexander Griffin and Lu Ella Oliver Griffin and other family members.

  4. I did not know Kevin for very long before he left GBB because I was fairly new. Kevin was a gentleman and that says a lot these days.He was such a sweet man and helped me understand so much about the plant, which has helped so much in the last year or so. It was a joy to have him as an employee and consider him a friend. I enjoyed the many conversations we had over the years I knew him.
