Larry Lee Pittman

Larry Lee Pittman, 67, of College Station passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00PM at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers in Bryan.

Larry was born May 15, 1950 in Henderson, TX to Lawrence Pittman and Cecil Broughton.  In 1968 Larry completed High School at Allen Academy in Bryan, TX. He joined the US Army on May 26, 1969 and was assigned to the 505th Repair Parts Company at Fort Hood, Texas. He served a tour in Vietnam as an Aircraft Repair Parts Specialist. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and Rifle Expert. He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1975.

Following his service in the military, Larry went on to work at Moore Business Forms. Larry married Connie Hearne on December 31, 1993 and they lived in College Station since that time.

Mr. Pittman is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Cecil Pittman and his stepson, Hubert Hearne III.

He is survived by his wife Connie Hearne Pittman; sister Donna Pittman; son Jason Pittman; granddaughters Taylor and Alexis Pittman; stepdaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Ross Macfadyen and their children, Caleb, Austin and Meredith Macfadyen; Connie’s daughter-in-law, Nicole Hearne Riethmayer, and her children, Ashlie, Haley and Emily.

I met Larry in junior high at what was then Anson Jones Junior High School. We always had a lot of fun in the classes we had together. We know that this is a very difficult time for the family.
