  3. I’m so sorry to learn of Leslie’s passing. He was such a kind and gentle man. The last time I spoke to him was at mom’s funeral and I remember his kindness then. My heart goes out to you all.

  6. Deep sympathy to the Family. Les was a dear man and will be missed! Alice, Jonne and Larry, prayers for comfort and peace!

  7. I’ll miss Leslie and his joy! His aunt in law Marthann always knew she could count on Leslie if she was in trouble -flat tire! and I could, too. Always fun to go by and see him at his stores in Bryan and Austin. Missed him and Alice, Carol Ann and and Carrie Nell when they moved far away; and wished Gregg was nearby when he was born. Mom said often Leslie was a great baseball pitcher, Little All-American; Bryan Eagle article said “The right-hander who won five and lost three and posted a terrific 0.83 earned run average for the Ramblers last season made honorable mention on the All-American team… Coaches vote on the players…Crenshaw played Bronco baseball under C. P. (Peck) Vass… .
He’s reuniting with our lost loved ones – Glory!

  8. I have been honored to have known Leslie thru his wife and the Jo Ann fabric store. He was the most courteous and helpful person you could meet. If you were in need, he was there. He made a special batch of pecan brittle at Christmas time for my late husband and the City of Bryan employees really enjoyed. Of course my portion was smaller every year due to my hubby grabbing it on his way out to work. Leslie kept the office in fresh veggies from his garden. He touched our hearts more then he knew. He will be missed greatly.

  9. Les was a wonderful family man that would give or do anything to help out another. We will all miss his smiling face. Alice is blessed to have her children and grand children around her to keep the memory of Les in her heart forever. I hope God likes peanut brittle!!
    Love and prayers,
    Rick & Marla
