Librada “Lena” Lopez Liscano, 96, of Bryan, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009, at Lampstand Health and Rehab in Bryan. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 20, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, with a rosary at 4 p.m. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m., Monday, December 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, with the Rev. Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Lena was born May 25, 1913, in Travis County to Ralph and Librada Garcia. She retired after working many years in the St. Joseph Hospital Cafeteria.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Joe Lopez and Porfirio Liscano; daughter, JoAnn Holland; brothers, Ralph Garcia, Ernest Garcia, Marion Garcia; and her sisters, Maria Sarabia, Elodia Garcia, Minnie Vasquez.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Jr. and Theresa Lopez, of Bryan; John and Patricia Lopez, of Denton, TX, Jessie Liscano, of Bryan; fourteen grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
