Lois Gibson

God may have her in His keeping, but she will forever be in our hearts.

Lois Marie Kopecky Gibson was joined again in Heaven with her husband and high school sweetheart of 64 years, Jerry Gibson. She was born to Doc & Marie Kopecky in Eagle Lake, TX where she grew up. Lois was always able to find the good in everyone and epitomized the word “Lady”. She believed in setting a good example and lived up to it. She loved antiques and was talented at china painting and sewing, sharing her talents with family and friends over the years with baby shoes, plates, vases, bowls, and Barbie doll clothes.

She and Jerry had many endeavors throughout their years together living in Eagle Lake, Houston, Alvin, and Bryan TX. They owned and operated a motor-cross racetrack, were cattle ranchers, and had a real estate and land management business. She will be greatly missed by her children Susan Horn, and Glenn & Lorrelle Gibson; her 5 grandchildren Corey Crosser, Curtis Gibson, Kristi & Judd Preas, Suzanne Horn, and Dorothy Horn. Most especially by her 5 great-grandchildren Hailey Gibson, Laila Arrieta, and Isabelle, Kailey, & Levi Preas. Brother “Jr” and wife Patsy Kopecky, sister-in-law Janet & Jimmie Frnka, and brother-in-law Jim & Traleen Gibson.

Per her request there will be no services. They asked that family and friends celebrate life in remembrance of them.

Condolences for the family of “Lois Gibson”

Condolence from Steve Floyd on February 16th, 2018 4:23 pm

R.I.P, Lois. May our kind and loving heavenly father give all of you peace and hope. I pray for you. God has made some wonderful promises to us. We all die due to Adam and Eves sin in the beginning. Romans 5:12 says it best “That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned—” But God tells us in John 17:3 that he loves us and has made arrangements to undo what Adam did. In John 5:28, 29 He promises a resurrection of the dead and in Revelation 21:1-4 He tells of a whole new world where death, sorrow and pain will be gone. Can you picture Lois and all of you as well as other beloved ones who have died being able to live together, in complete peace, in a place like this? Families re-united? If you like you can text me or call me at 762-241-7322. Steve
