Marcelene Ann Mohr

Marcelene “Ann” Witte Mohr, 81, of College Station, is resting with her Lord in Heaven. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, February 9 at College Station Memorial Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 12 p.m. noon at Faith United Church of Christ in Bryan.

Born in League City, Texas, on January 2, 1932 to Elton Witte and Hettie Drake, Ann graduated from Anahuac High School and became a nurse. She married Arthur “Cotton” Mohr in 1955. The Mohr family moved to College Station in 1959. After a 4 year job assignment on Guam, returned home in 1970.

She is a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a long-time member at Faith United Church of Christ, and a good friend to all. Ann will always be remembered for her compassionate nature and her warm, beautiful smile.

Ann has been greeted in heaven by her daughter Faith, and brother Elton “E.J.”. She will be greatly missed and always loved by her surviving family; her husband, Art Mohr; siblings, Dorothy, Jo, Elaine & Buddy: daughters, Simon & Lori Cole; Alton & Sandy White; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews & friends.

The family thanks Hospice Brazos Valley and the nurses and aides of St. Joseph Manor Unit 2.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Brazos Valley or Faith United Church of Christ.
