Margaret Ann Loerch Bowser

June 13, 1931 – November 28, 2019

Margaret Ann Loerch Bowser, 88, of Bryan, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 28, 2019 at Burleson St. Joseph Manor Nursing Home. She was born to the late Alfred and Clara Patterson Loerch on June 13, 1931 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Margaret was a Bookkeeper at Syracuse University for 29 years and was an avid bridge player with her circle of friends in Liverpool, New York. After her retirement she moved to Tomball, Texas and then later to Bryan, Texas to be close to family.

In Bryan, Texas she enjoyed her friends and activities at Waldenbrooke Estates. Reading and knitting prayer blankets for her fellow residents in need of comfort always kept her busy, along with challenging her great-grandchildren to games of Crazy Eights and Disney Princess Dominoes.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Brad and Jodi Bowser of Missoula, Montana, Danita and Robert Gilbert of College Station, Texas, Brian and Shelly Bowser of East Leroy, Michigan; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, December 7th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the graveside service to follow in Smetana Community Cemetery. Father Steve Sauser will be officiating. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers.

  1. We’ll always remember the happy times we shared with Margaret as family. She greeted all of the kids with smiles and kind words. She was also a very good friend to Mother. She will be missed and remembered with love.
