Marsalino Mireles
July 18, 1944 – July 20, 2017

Marsalino Mireles, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 5:30 pm on Monday, July 24, 2017, with the Rosary, recited at 7:30 pm, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.

Marsalino was born in Lockhart, Texas to Vicente and Benita (Valdez) Mireles on July 18, 1944. He provided for his family in the most compassionate and caring way. He is regarded as being a true gentleman in all circumstances, always respecting his fellow man, no matter their differences. He was married to the love of his life for fifty-one years, whom he honored as Christ honored the church. Marsalino’s kind voice could be heard as an assurance of his friendship to all he knew, and through the music that he enjoyed playing in the churches that he attended through his lifetime. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and then went on to pursue other career goals. Marsalino was a strong man of his faith and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in College Station.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Vicente and Benita; his cousins Johnny Mireles and Lupe Davila, his sister-in-law, Frances Mireles and his niece Sonya Valley.

His survivors are: his wife Gloria Mireles; his son Daniel; his daughter Trixy Roy and husband Steven; his brother Vicente Mireles Jr; his sisters Virginia Estrada and husband Gilbert and Mary Gamez; his grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Gabriela, Collin, Cecilia and Jaxon as well as many loved and cherished relatives and friends.

The Mireles family asked that you give your memorial contributions in Honor of Marsalino to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan 77803.
