Martha Moody

Martha Moody, 80, born and raised in Grimes County and long-time resident of Bryan, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, in South Carolina. A private family viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, at St. Michael’s Chapel, 2402 S. College Ave, Bryan, Texas 77801, on the corner of Williamson and S. College Ave. A graveside burial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Booneville Cemetery.

Martha was born September 25, 1934 in Iola, Texas, to Leonard and Ida Josephine Ramsey. She enjoyed her artwork, sewing, crocheting, and working in the yard. She loved working her hobby farm for the brief time she lived in Michigan. She courageously lived in northern Minnesota for several years and traveled the Midwest to the Pacific Coast during her life.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Moody; daughter Judy Bajenske; great grandson Asher Bajenske; brothers Kennard Ramsey and Leonard Ramsey; sister Marrell Eugenia Ramsey; and her parents.

She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jeffrey Thomas; son, Ronald Bajenske; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bajenske; sister, Mary Bajenske; sisters-in-law, Peggy Ramsey, Mary Ann Johnson, Jo Moody; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
