Mary Horn, Justice of Peace, Retired, 79, of College Station, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in College Station. A visitation will be from 1 to 3 pm, Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center. Graveside services honoring her life will begin at 2 pm, Monday, December 2, 2019, at Wellborn Community Cemetery, officiating will be Rev. Jerry Horn. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Mary was born in Wolfe City, Texas to Reginald Creed and Maxine Herrin Creed, on April 30, 1940. Mary was very involved in her community serving as Precinct Judge for over sixteen years and served as Deputy Constable under her husband Constable Ray Horn, prior to being the JP. She loved her family and loved her community as a public servant of the people. Mary devoted many hours to the community and truly inspired her family to give as much as they could. As a precinct judge she not only served as the final judgment in many cases but also wanted to help teach the person how to avoid returning to her bench. Her first husband, Roy Dickie Worsham, her second husband, Charles Ray Horn; her son, Edwin Worsham; her sister Sarah Patterson; all precede Mary in death.

She is survived by her daughters Regina and her husband, Larry Tinney, Dana Roy Mullen, Carolyn Prater, Joyce Ann and husband David McKee, and Tammy Cotten; her sons Colton Horn, and Jerry Horn; Mary’s much devoted granddaughter, Ashley Acosta; her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter; and other relatives.

Mary’s family asked that you consider any memorial donations in her name be given to Texas Home Health Hospice or Alzheimer Association.
