Michael Lee Guyton

Michael Lee Guyton
August 28, 1964 – March 14, 2018

Mike Guyton, 53, of Bryan, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in Bryan. A visitation will begin at 10am, Friday, March 16, and a memorial service at 11am, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.

Mike’s parents are, the late, Maurice and Mavis Tyler Guyton of Bryan. He was born in Bryan and lived his life to the fullest with family and friends. Mike enjoyed his fishing trips especially those to Gibbons Creek. He very much enjoyed the outdoors fishing and spending time with his family. Mike was a crafts man building things as he could one piece at a time. He was a good mechanic to help others out with their vehicles. He especially, liked to teach Daylan, his grandson, how to work on cars. Mike so loved his grandchildren that he had his tool bags ready whenever they would call needing help with car repairs. Mike spent many hours working on his vehicles to keep them in mint condition especially his old Chevy Truck. Mike was employed with Lloyd Joyce Agriculture Services and was thankful for the incredible working relationship shared these past years. Mike’s family is thankful to Mr. Lloyd Joyce for reaching out to Mike as a second father to him. Mike’s life was made complete by the birth of his two grandchildren Daylan and Allie. His whole world surrounded these two and his heart was so full of joy when they would visit.

His parents, and his brother, Ray Guyton, precede him in death.

Mike is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Andrew Velasquez; his grandchildren Daylan and Allie; his sister Shelly Guyton; his brothers David and wife Sandra, Danny and wife Jenny, Eddie and very close friend Roberta Williams; his cousins; his nephews and nieces; and close friends.

  7. So sad to hear this about such a good friend. As Rodney said, we too had some great times back in the day. I remember when we first started driving, he’d talk Mrs. Guyton in to letting him drive her ol’ station wagon and we spun out around every corner we came to down the back then rural Old Hearne Rd. When we were younger he didn’t want for much, Mom always made sure he got what he wanted.. heck, for his first vehicle he gets an orange 1968 firebird and then on to a Trans-am! And yes… Rabbit lane was a proving ground back when life was simple. Man did we have some crazy good times. I’ve been trying to get back there to see my ol’ buddy for several years now, life just goes on too fast but I will see him again no doubt. Shelly, Eddie, David and Danny I’m sorry ur loss. 🙁 RIP ol’ friend.

  8. Mike was a awesome friend and person. His family and mine have known each other for years. My dad Gus wager Jr thought highly of him and that’s a plus if you do that lol. I’ve known him for 30 plus years and have been honored. Love you fly high angel. My heart goes out to the family
