Mildred Rumfield, 89, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Lampstand Health and Rehab in Bryan. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, August 8, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m., Monday, August 9, at the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Beavers officiating. Interment will follow at the New Church Cemetery in Edge.

Mildred was born September 25, 1920 in Brazos County. She was a member of Reliance Baptist Church since 1935, and a member of Edge Baptist Church since 1945. Mildred was also a member f the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira James Rumfield, son, James Edward Rumfield, brother, Bob Carter, sisters, Maurice Dell Riley and Kathryn Carll, and her parents.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Debbie Rumfield, of Bryan, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Kenneth Barnett, of Donie, Texas; daughter-in-law, Brenda Rumfield, of Bryan, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sarah Carter, Buddy and Nell Carter, Billy Carter, all of Terrell, Texas; sister, Dorothy Graham, of South Texas; grandchildren, Michael Lynn Duber Rumfield and wife Tiffiany, Anne McKibben and husband Jory, Melissa Rumfield, Wade Barnett and wife Cindy, Chris Barnett and wife Shelley; great grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Shelby, Daniel, Brian, Connor, Avery, and Sarah.
