Albert Edward Wesley Mayo, 47, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 25, 2025. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, at 12:00 PM at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
Albert was born on August 30, 1977, in Bryan, Texas, to Al (Albert) and Kitt. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. During his school years, Albert was an avid swimmer and graduated from Bryan High School in 1995. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, where he met lifelong friends.
Albert was a salesman at heart—some joked that he could “sell ice to an Eskimo.” While he found his greatest joy working in the outdoor sporting goods industry, Albert also took pride in supporting contractors and weekend warriors in the home improvement retail market.
He loved to travel, especially to the coast and the Texas hill country. Albert enjoyed gardening and was a talented cook. He had a special love for Christmas—the lights, the music, the food, and most of all, celebrating the birth of his Savior by gathering with family and friends to share laughter, stories, and memories.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kitt Aguilar; mother-in-law, Margie Sesock; grandparents Willie May Pohorelsky and Edward Pohorelsky, Albert Otis Mayo, Kathleen Westmoreland Corder, and Roscoe Corder.
Albert is survived by a host of loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert’s memory to the charity of your choice.
