Bobby Lee Henry, 82, of Bryan, TX, passed away on February 26, 2026. Bobby was born on June 3, 1943, to Willis Herbert and Effie Lucille Henry. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan and from Texas A&M University in 1966. During this time, Bobby married the love of his life, Nancy Carol Fisher, and upon his graduation from A&M, he and Carol moved to Temple for him to begin his career with Temple ISD as a jr. high science teacher. After two years, he transferred to the high school where he taught Agriculture for 31 years. He was respected and admired by many colleagues and students, some of whom went on to become Ag teachers and educators. His last 6 years were spent working as a truant officer for Temple H.S. These years brought much personal reward as he was able to help students that needed it the most. In 1991 he was the recipient of the Golden Apple Award for outstanding teacher for the year and received the Rotary Award for teacher of the month in January after teaching for 28 years. He was an active member of the Cen-Tex Young Farmer Chapter where he served as the advisor and was a vital part of the success of the chapter. He took great pride in this organization and respected those that served with him.

Bobby enjoyed spending time in his shop working on wood projects and watching his grandchildren hunt on his property. He loved working outside and took great pride in stewarding his property well. He also enjoyed raising and taking care of his chickens and game roosters. Bobby was a Christian and took his faith seriously. He believed that Jesus was the only way to heaven and has read the Bible multiple times. His faith in Jesus and trust in the Bible was the rule and guide for his life.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Carol Fisher Henry; his sons, Jason Henry and wife, Tiffany, and Josh Henry and wife, Erin; his 6 grandchildren: Sydnie Henry, Wyatt Henry, Dylan Henry, Hannah Henry Angell and her husband, Zach, Bethany Henry, and Cole Henry, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

He is preceded in death by his parents, W. H. Henry and Effie Henry as well as his siblings, Melba Ruth Satterwhite, Billy Henry, and Joyce Henry Evans.

A graveside service will be held at Alexander Cemetery, 5300 Alexander Cemetery Rd., Bryan, TX 77808 on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
