Bradley Keith Cunningham

December 8, 1973 — January 10, 2026

New York, NY

Bradley Keith Cunningham, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 52. He was born on December 8, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Donald Joseph and Norma Wade Cunningham. He was the youngest of their seven children.

Bradley was bigger than life. A force of nature. His life story one of extraordinary resilience. He was deeply loved and admired, and known for his fierce optimism, independent spirit, loyalty, compassion, and grace. He was a friend, a mentor, an inspiration to many and impacted countless lives in profound, positive, and beautiful ways. Brad was a passionate advocate and fierce warrior for the marginalized and those who could not - or didn’t know how to - fight for themselves. He believed in the good and worthiness of all people, and held space for everyone of all beliefs, all backgrounds, all ethnicities, and life preferences. Bradley valued deeply the human dignity of all people.

He built a life for the past 23+ years in New York City and loved all the best of the city… the people, the history, the energy, the spirit. He loved nothing more than for family and friends to visit, when he got to be host and tour guide, sharing all his favorite places and ensuring everyone had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. His family and friends have an endless treasure-trove of New York City memories because Bradley made sure everyone had the best time there in his city.

Bradley’s life was one of exceptional and hard-won accomplishments. Despite the headwinds, the hardships and challenges, he found the resolve and resilience to pull himself up, chart his course, decide what he wanted and needed to do next, and he did it with strength and grace and grit. An accomplishment he was deeply proud of was the 15 years he spent at Callen-Lorde there in New York City, where he started as a front desk receptionist in 2008, and believing in the mission of this healthcare community, he poured his heart and soul into this work, was promoted every 2 years, until he ultimately rose to the Senior Director of Operations in 2023. Another of his most proud accomplishments was achieving his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2019 from Baruch College there in New York, alongside some of his most cherished friends and colleagues. He loved learning and growing in ways that would not only expand his professional skill set, but broaden his impact, and deepen his ability to do more good in the world. He was tenaciously committed to this level of growing and learning until the very last few days of his life, which will always be remembered as a cornerstone of who he was at his core.

Bradley’s professional network and friend community extends far and wide, friends and colleagues who loved him like family. Our family is deeply grateful to Scott Davis, Josh Benjamin, and Lissa Southerland for being Brad's very dearest friends, for loving and caring for him so much over all these years. He loved you all more than you'll ever know.

Bradley adored his large, loving family: his father and mother, Donald Joseph and Norma Wade Cunningham; his siblings and their spouses, Sherry (Bob Peters), Laurie, Lisa (Greg Hatteberg), Stacy (Michael Spickes), Donnie (Lorri Walker), and Scott (Robin Lamkin); and his twenty-nine nieces and nephews, Ashley, Brittany, Stephanie, Emily, Luke, Sara Beth, Jill, David, Garrett, Colton, Daylan, Brandon, Brian, Brady, Ellie, Brooklyn, Addie, Hallie, Everlee, Cole, Jude, Jeremiah, Jamie, Ivy, Gus, Olive, Eden, Sage, and Teddy. Bradley was preceded in death by his adoring mother, Norma Wade Cunningham, and his sister, Lisa Hatteberg.

To our Bradley, you were one-of-a kind, a most special, and radiant and beautiful soul. We are so grateful that you’ll be laid to rest here in Texas right next to Mom, and there is peace for us in knowing your spirits are together again. We know in our hearts that, in your final moments here, Mom was right up there at the gates of Heaven leading and welcoming you home. Our lives will never be the same without you here with us, but we’re forever made better for the days we had you here and all the goodness and joy and treasured memories you brought to our lives. You are a treasure and your spirit will be with us every minute of every day. We all so love you, B.💙
