Brandy Burkhalter Norris, 52, of College Station passed away on Wednesday March 4th, 2026. Visitation will be held at BlueForge Alliance in Bryan, Texas on Friday March 13th, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday March 14th at Christ Church in College Station, Texas with Alan Pittman officiating.

Brandy was born March 13, 1973 in Bryan, Texas the daughter of Johnny Roy and Almeta Lindsey Burkhalter. She graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas and then attended Texas A&M University. Where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1995 and later received her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University in 2012. She dedicated her life to the service of others and went to work for College Station Police Department in 1997, where she stayed for 23 years promoting up to Assistant Chief. In 2021, she became the first female peace officer to serve as Chief of Enforcement for TABC and the first woman to oversee the day-to-day operations of a statewide police force in Texas. After she left the public sector she transferred her law enforcement experience into a broader security role at BlueForge Alliance, serving as Director of Security for the past two years.

More than that Brandy was a wonderful mom, friend, mentor and companion. She was a loving dog mom, a dedicated traveler, a devout Aggie and most importantly - a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She dedicated her life to helping others teaching at Blinn College in Bryan and serving on numerous committees throughout her community.

Brandy was preceded in death by her parents Johnny Roy Burkhalter and Almeta Lindsey Burkhalter.

She is survived by her daughter Hailey Brooke Norris; brothers William Kevin Burkhalter and wife Beckie, and Gregory Dean Burkhalter and wife Amy.
