Calixto Maldonado passed away on February 27, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1951, in El Quelital, S.L.P., Mexico, to Ventura Maldonado and Altagracia Chavira, being the eldest of seven siblings. On October 16, 1971, Calixto married his beloved Maria de los Angeles Maldonado. Together, they raised their four children: Lidia, Manuel, Rosa, and Omar Maldonado. One of his greatest passions was gardening; he truly enjoyed spending time outdoors. His smile will forever be treasured. In his last days, he genuinely exemplified the essence of a warrior. He will be profoundly missed and cherished in our memories. Calixto's kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit made a significant impact on many lives. His legacy will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 5pm - 8pm with the rosary beginning at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2 pm at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas followed by the graveside at Bryan City Cemetery.

Nació el 14 de Octubre de 1951, en El Quelital, S.L.P., México, hijo de Ventura Maldonado y Altagracia Chavira, siendo el mayor de siete hermanos. El 16 de Octubre de 1971, Calixto se casó con su amada María de los Ángeles Maldonado. Juntos, criaron a sus cuatro hijos: Lidia, Manuel, Rosa y Omar Maldonado. Una de sus mayores pasiones era la jardinería; realmente disfrutaba pasar tiempo al aire libre. Su sonrisa siempre será atesorada.
