Christian Anze Galindo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 85 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on April 29, 1941, in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Blanca Galindo Anze; his father, Eudoro Galindo; his sister, Maria Consuelo “Toqui” Araujo; his brother, Eudoro “Chuso” Galindo; and Barbara Galindo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Eugenia “Jeannie” Galindo; his children, Michelle, Christian (Megan), Adrian, and Dorian; and his cherished grandchildren, Evangelina, Sebastian, and Emerson. He is also survived by Ramiro Galindo, Biviana Routh, and Denisse Bellini, along with his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law Patricia Gutierrez, and an enormous extended family and countless friends whom he considered family.
Chris came to the United States from Bolivia to attend Texas A&M University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering (Class of '62) and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering. After graduating, he began his career with Shell Oil. His life and career took him between the United States and Bolivia before eventually settling in Bryan, where he built a successful business and a deeply rooted family life. He became a proud United States citizen and carried his Aggie spirit with him throughout his life. A dedicated runner, triathlete, and soccer player, he approached everything he did with discipline, purpose, and determination.
Above all else, Chris was a devoted family man. He loved his children and grandchildren fiercely and completely. To his family, he was the best father in the world — wise, loving, endlessly supportive, immensely respected, and a steady North Star.
Chris had a passion for history and genealogy. His mind was a vault of names, connections, memories, and traditions that tied generations of family together. He took great joy in preserving those connections and in strengthening the bonds of his extended family in meaningful and lasting ways. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, included, and connected, and he never met a stranger. Quietly and without fanfare, he was also deeply generous with his time, guidance, and resources in support of others.
Those who knew Chris will remember a man of great integrity, humility, intellect, curiosity, generosity, loyalty, faith, and extraordinary kindness. He worked hard, loved fully, and strengthened the lives of so many around him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but the love, strength, and closeness he cultivated will continue to endure for generations to come.
Celebration of Life information will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to BCS Habitat for Humanity or Bright Hill Collective in honor of Chris.
