Obituary

Dane Garnet Eimann of Bryan, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on May 9th, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose hardworking spirit and quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Dane was born on February 16, 1952 in Bryan, Texas. He graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1970 where he was heavily involved in FFA. He later attended both Blinn College and Texas A&M University.

On June 21, 1975 Dane married the love of his life, Denise Hein. Together they built a beautiful life centered around family and hard work, sharing more than 52 years of love and memories together. He was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church in Bryan.

Dane and Denise raised three children: Dwayne, DeAnna, and Danna. His family was the center of his world. Some of his children’s favorite memories were the evenings spent riding country roads with him after daycare, sharing a soda and a pack of gum.

He dedicated his life to providing for his family through many years of hard work. Over the course of his career, he worked as a butcher at Weingartens, where he was mentored by JW Heine, someone he greatly respected and looked up to. He also worked for JWOC Oil Field Service, owned D G Eimann Construction, and ultimately built a long career with Kroger. Starting as a butcher, Dane worked his way up to Meat Market Manager and helped open multiple Kroger stores throughout Houston and the surrounding areas. He retired from Kroger in April 2013 after many years of dedicated service. He was also a member of the Kurten Lodge for 36 years and an endowed member with W.T. Austin Chapter and Counsel as well as a member of the Ivanhoe Commandery.

Dane was known for being extremely hardworking, always willing to help others, and constantly joking around with anyone he encountered. He deeply loved his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with family. To many, Dane will always be remembered standing outside beside his truck, waving someone over for a conversation or sharing stories with whoever stopped by.

He greatly enjoyed being outdoors, sightseeing drives through the countryside, hunting, fishing, coaching baseball, exploring for arrowheads , horseback riding, and tending to his cows in Wellborn. Growing up, he especially loved his favorite horse, Lee, and his dog, Chico. He also enjoyed visiting Enchanted Rock State Park, bowling, dancing, cooking and hanging out with his buddies. One of his favorite things to do during his downtime was sitting in his recliner and watching the news, weather, old westerns, and classic cartoons - often falling asleep with the remote still in his hand. He also looked forward to his trips to Kennard to spend time with his best friend, Mike and cherished his coffee visits with his cousin, Lloyd.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danna Eimann; his parents, Garnet and Margie (Kirwin) Eimann; and his brother-in-law, Michael Gibbens.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Denise Eimann; his son, Dwayne Eimann and wife LaRissa; his daughter, DeAnna Malazzo and husband Chandler; grandchildren Daniel, Adrianna and Alyssa Mickey, Arianna, Damian, Ethan, and Abigail Eimann; and great-grandchildren Alani and Malaya Summerall with another great-grandchild on the way, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Dane’s legacy of hard work, humor, generosity, and unconditional love for his family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
