Born on March 31, 1977, in Flowood, Mississippi, Dave was the son of Pam Hynes and David Osborne. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a minor in Mathematics, and later earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA). He dedicated more than 25 years to the field of information technology, including 10 years serving the State of Mississippi with both the Mississippi Public Service Commission and the Mississippi State Personnel Board. For nearly 15 years, Dave faithfully served Texas A&M University as IT Manager for the Texas A&M University Police Department. Throughout his career, he led countless technology and infrastructure projects that strengthened the systems supporting safety and security. While he took great pride in his profession, Dave would have been the first to tell you that his greatest accomplishments were his family, especially his children, Samuel and Emersyn.

Dave was known for his quiet strength, steady wisdom, and generous heart. He never sought recognition yet was always the first to lend a helping hand, offer thoughtful advice, or brighten someone's day with a well-timed joke, an interesting technology fact, or an obscure sports statistic. No family gathering was complete without someone asking Dave to troubleshoot a computer, phone, or Wi-Fi issue - he was always "on call!" He found joy in fixing things, playing games (he never lost a hand of Spades), watching sports, and building an impressive sports card collection.

Above all, Dave loved his family. He shared more than 15 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Lauren, whose friendship, partnership, and unwavering love were the foundation of their life together. Dave was a devoted father and often said that his favorite and most important title was "Daddy." He was the best Lego builder with Sam and never hesitated to go on a bike ride with Emy. He was also a dedicated son, loyal brother, the fun uncle everyone looked forward to seeing, and a faithful friend whose love was demonstrated through countless everyday acts of kindness.

Dave is survived by his wife, Lauren Osborne; his children, Samuel and Emersyn; his mother, Pam Hynes (Jerry); his father, David Osborne (Michelle); his brother, Rob Osborne (Kayla); his sisters, Bre'anna Ortiz (Sam) and Brittany Savell (Gunner); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Lady Jane Price, and Harry and Nellie Osborne.

Dave's legacy is not measured by awards or titles, but by the countless lives he touched through his kindness, integrity, humility, and unwavering love. His life was one of quiet service, steadfast faithfulness and trust in the Lord, and unconditional love for those around him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
