Dovie was born on October 1, 1962, to Milton and Mary Dockery, and she spent her life surrounded by the beauty and warmth of Aggieland, a place she called home.

From an early age, Dovie’s caring spirit shone brightly. She embraced the role of a homemaker with grace, pouring her love into every cake she baked for her family and ensuring that her home was a sanctuary of love and warmth. Dovie's passions extended beyond her kitchen; she found joy in the tranquility of fishing and the thrill of hunting, activities that connected her with nature and provided cherished moments with her loved ones.
