College Station, Texas

Elizabeth (Rosenberry) Lindner of College Station died on August 9th, 2025 at the age of 84 in College Station, TX following a prolonged and cruelly disabling illness. She was born June 13, 1941 in Elmira, NY and as a child lived in Minnesota and Chicago, but her real childhood home was the family farm of her parents Howard and Margaret Rosenberry in Windsor (now DeForest) Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and trained in cytotechnology at the Wisconsin State Laboratory. She worked as a cytotechnologist much of her adult life.

She met and married her husband, Dr. Luther E. Lindner where they were both working in Cleveland, Ohio. They spent three years in El Paso while he was fulfilling his military commitment. They then moved to Reno, Nevada for seven years and then to College Station in 1982 where they lived for the rest of their lives.

In addition to her work, she raised three children and partially raised two grandchildren. She was forced to deal with multiple family tragedies. She was very active in Girl Scouts and in St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She always had particularly close relationships with her parents and four sisters. She was unusually loving and loved. Her whole life she did the best she could for her family and others.

She was predeceased by a son, Stephen J. Lindner. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Luther Lindner, her sisters Margaret Johnston, Sara Rosenberry, Patricia Schmidt and Lois Loff and their families, daughters Mary I. Lindner and Martha H. Lindner-Fallgren, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no memorial or viewing locally. Burial and a memorial will be in Dane, Wisconsin, at a date and time to be determined.

Particular Thanks for the staff at Sodalis Senior Living who took care of her in her last two years and to her medical support through Baylor Scott and White and Saint Joseph special nursing care, as well as Enhabit Hospice care.
