Elizabeth Jane “Janie” McGill, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 8, 1947, in San Antonio to Jeff and Ruth Stuart, Janie was raised in Charlotte before later moving to Corpus Christi during high school, where she proudly performed as a majorette.

Janie was preceded in death by her father Jeff Stuart, mother Ruth Jackson, brother Tommy Stuart, and stepson Dwayne McGill.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, James McGill, the true love of her life; her children, Ruthi Tang (Leo), Mike Mylar (Pat), and Melanie Lagrone (Brad); stepchildren Ronnie McGill (Kaye) and Jamie Lundell (Bert); 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her beloved puppies, Daisy and Bodie.
