Eva Maria Maddox, daughter of Elmer and Eva, passed away in the early hours of October 7.
Eva was an avid reader, world traveler, kitsch collector, and loving daughter, sister, and mother. Eva made a career out of the English language. She obtained an English degree from Texas A&M and became a printer, an editor, and instructional librarian. While instructing people how to use the Texas A&M library, she decided to pursue a Masters degree in Library Science, which she employed as a librarian in the US Virgin Islands. Undoubtedly, her time in the islands was equal parts vacation and vocation.
Eva loved to travel and meet new people, with whom she could talk about anything. Trips to the store would frequently return with new friends as well as food.
Eva is survived by her sons John and Anthony.
If you would like to honor her memory, please ensure you have settled your affairs and made legal arrangements with your loved ones.
