Obituary

Frank Garrett Heifrin, 48, was born on January 23, 1978, and sadly passed away on March 24, 2026, after a difficult but valiant battle with cancer. Frank’s remarkable life was defined by his extraordinary leadership, his commitment to his community and a profound love for his family. Above all, Frank’s unwavering devotion to his faith was demonstrated by how he lived life to the fullest.

Frank was the beloved, eldest son of Rollin and Martha Heifrin and brother to Jeff Heifrin. He graduated from Scurry-Rosser High School in 1996 and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2000. As was customary for Frank, he always gave his all in everything he did. While in the Corp, it is of no surprise that Frank became the executive officer of his outfit where his amazing leadership skills were put to good use.

While attending chemistry class at A&M, the fateful meeting occurred when Frank awoke from his mid-class nap only to discover the love of his life, Misty. The couple dated and were married just a year after graduation. It is no surprise that Frank later earned his master’s degree in Land Economics, Real Estate, and Finance, further strengthening his passion for a profession where he would become a pillar in the community and an expert in his field.

Frank dedicated 25 years of his career to Culpepper Realty Company, where he built a reputation for integrity, excellence, and lasting relationships. In addition to excelling at his vocation, Frank also was instrumental in starting over a dozen successful business ventures spanning from sign companies to agricultural products and technology. Frank also owned and operated one of the most successful apartment locating businesses in the Brazos Valley.

It is of no consequence that Frank’s commitment to his faith was the defining quality by which he prioritized his life. Frank was a respected leader at his church and served as a deacon at Central Baptist Church. Frank also had a deep and unwavering passion for the men of his church. For more than 10 years, he served on the Men’s Ministry team, faithfully leading and shaping the men’s stakeout dinner, countless campouts, and events that created space for men to grow and connect. It was obvious to all who knew him that his love for the Lord and commitment to serving others were always evident. Frank was authentic in every sense and never pretentious. When he spoke, it was with truth, with conviction and grace. His life was a constant reflection of humility and steadfast faith.

In addition to his leadership in church and at work, Frank also was actively involved in his community. This was evident in his profound impact on Brazos Christian School and other efforts in the community. As a member of the school board, he helped bring to life many of the facilities students now enjoy every day. Using his vast knowledge of real estate and commercial construction, Frank led the efforts at the school to construct several additions including the turf field, weight room, press box, expansion of Building C, and the performing arts center. Frank also found spare time to serve as President of the Brazos County Youth Livestock Association, where through his leadership, he was able to increase fundraising donations by well over 700%. It was here that he dearly loved investing in the lives of young people and helping shape future generations.

It was obvious by the way he lived his life that Frank’s commitment to serving was centered around his dedication to his family. Frank was a devoted husband to Misty and a proud father to his three children, Jake (12th grade), Levi (12th grade), and Jency (10th grade) at Brazos Christian School. Frank’s unwavering love and faithful leadership to his family established an enduring legacy that will live on for many generations to come.

Frank will be remembered by all who knew him as a faithful father and husband, servant leader, and man of integrity. He was a steady source of encouragement and a constant reminder to all how to live life.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians that, “we are confident, and would prefer, to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” From this, we know that Frank left us and was immediately with friends, family and Jesus. It is for this reason that we have joy in sadness knowing that Frank is healed, pain free, and full of joy.
