Janie Arrellano Briones

With hearts full of love and gratitude, the family of Janie Arrellano Briones announces her peaceful passing on November 22, 2025. Born on September 28, 1949, Janie lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of love that left lasting imprints on everyone blessed enough to know her.

Janie devoted her life to her beautiful and ever-growing family. She leaves behind her seven children: Theresa Gutierrez, Joe Briones Jr., Ester Trujillo, Sylvia Estrada, Carlos Briones, Roy Briones, and Charlie Briones. She was the proud grandmother of 31 grandkids, the joyful great-grandmother of 81 great-grandkids, and the cherished great-great- grandmother of 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving brother, Thomas Arrellano.

Janie is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 55 years, Joe Cruz Briones, embracing once again in eternal peace.

She loved to cook, filling her home with the comforting smells of meals made with love. She lived for her family – their happiness was her joy, their laughter her favorite music. Janie was the kind of mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose smile could brighten the heaviest of days. Her laugh was contagious, her presence comforting, and her heart endlessly giving.

A gentle soul with a joyful spirit, Janie carried herself with the softness of pink clouds at sunrise. In our hearts, we picture her now with angel wings, surrounded by shimmering pink light, or like a dove soaring peacefully in heavenly clouds, watching over her family with the same love she gave every single day.

Though she has left this earth, Janie’s love remains, forever rooted in the generations she built, guided, and adored. Her legacy lives in every smile, every meal shared, every moment of togetherness she inspired. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
