Jimmy Lynn Coker, age 83, of College Station, Texas passed away Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, Texas.
He was born on October 6, 1942 in Corsicana, Texas to Willie Lee and Olen C. Coker. Jim excelled in sports all throughout his schooling, eventually receiving a basketball scholarship to Navarro College.
After graduating Navarro College he went on to an incredibly successful professional career, where he held corporate management positions with Glidden, Sherwin Williams, as well as other major national companies.
The one constant throughout Jim’s life was the love of his life, Camille. They were married immediately following high school graduation, and he and Camille would spend the next 65 years together. They raised their family in Texas, Ohio, Arizona, California, and then eventually they returned home to Texas.
Jim was preceded in death by both his parents, Willie Lee and Olen C. Coker, as well as his siblings James Coker and Billy Joe Coker. He is survived by his wife Camille, sister Elizabeth Bryant, children Rebecca and Dan Broome, Jeff and Katie Coker, Kelly and Russell Sisco, and his grandchildren Olen and Julie Coker, Dustin and Miranda Coker, Sarah and Evan Stalbird, and Kate and Daniel R. Broome. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Emma, Grayson, Ellie, Jack, and Amelia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at Callaway Jones Funeral Home at 3001 S. College Ave, Bryan, Texas on Saturday, April 4th at 2:00 pm. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation of Bryan, Texas, for taking care of both Jim and Camille. The level of care and compassion towards them, and the help they received made a world of difference.
