Heaven became a little sweeter when Joe Alson Vestal was welcomed into his Savior's arms on July 11th. Al was born in Tennessee on August 31st, 1936. He was the eldest of three children and lived in Tennessee for 17 years before moving to Dallas to work in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry. He met his beautiful wife, Jan at work. They were married for almost 68 years and have two children, Melanie and Michael.Al served his country, family and his church faithfully and joyfully in the most humble of ways. Saved at 12, his faith was simple and strong and was the solid foundation on which his life was built. It was evident in his marriage, the way he raised his children and was the core of his and Jan's many life long friendships. Throughout their marriage and even the last 20 years of their life, he and Jan enjoyed doing what they loved most. Traveling the country in their RV, spending time with family and friends and being involved at church.He leaves a lasting a legacy behind.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Jan, daughter Melanie Manning and husband Russell, son Michael Vestal, grandchildren Alyssa Ferranti and husband Taylor, Cara Peters and husband Paul, Christopher Vestal and wife Taylor, Ryan Vestal and wife Adrienne and Emma Cruz and husband Robert, sister Charlou Vaden and husband Jerry and 4.5 beautiful great grandchildren.
