College Statioin

Lacy Nichole Arrington passed away on Sunday, April 20th, 2025. Lacy was 42 years old and a resident of College Station, Texas.

Lacy was born December 21st, 1982 in Galveston, Texas. Her parents were Carrie Sue Buechmann & Dennis Hoke Arrington, III. Lacy spent her childhood in New Caney, Texas where she was very active. She loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing or riding horseback. Lacy loved animals of all kinds. She grew up having horses and goats, so it was no surprise that she joined FFA showing hogs throughout junior high and high school. Lacy was very athletic, playing volleyball, basketball, & softball, but swimming was where she excelled, advancing to Finals in Austin, Texas. Lacy was a member of her school’s Drill Team & loved to dance. She was especially fond of dancing the 2-step, the polka & the waltz. She was a good dancer who was always the life of the party and loved having a good time. She loved to play games, especially cards & “Mario Kart”. When she was young, she always had to be “Yoshi” and then “Birdo” in her later years. Lacy was very smart, participating in AP classes and graduating from New Caney High School with Honors. Lacy had a deep love for all animals, but was especially fond of her cat “Poka”. Lacy had dreams of becoming a vet and once she was old enough, she began working as a vet tech. After graduation, Lacy attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas.

Lacy was lovingly known by her sisters as “Boopie” an endearing nickname given to her when she was little. When she was 3 years old, she received a “Betty Boop” nightgown and would run around the house singing “Boop Oop A Doop” all day long and all night long. This is how the lifelong nickname came to be and stuck.

Everyone gravitated to Lacy. She had a special spark that everyone loved. She played a big role in the lives of her nieces and nephews and spent many hours with them as they all grew up. After her college years, Lacy went on to have five children of her own; Justin, Briana, Chase, and twins, Brayden & Cayden. Life was not always easy for Lacy. She suffered the devastating loss of her son, Chase, on April 1st, 2006. She carried on the best she could, continuing to make people laugh in her own special ways.

Lacy went on to build a family with the love of her life, husband, Timothy Collins. She gained two bonus children, Caitlin & Aspen, and loved them like her own. Lacy became a full time homemaker who enjoyed working on wood projects with Tim. She loved spending time and playing games with their children. She spent as much time as possible at the pool, softball field and park with the kids. Lacy also loved her best friend, Elizabeth Morales, who also happened to be her niece-in-law. She loved Elizabeth’s children, Nikia & Caelyn like they were her own. Lacy & Tim’s love of woodworking led to them starting a small family business where they sold their creations in a local consignment shop that Lacy operated part-time. She spent her days happily laughing and enjoying all of her children. Her last days were spent with Tim and the kids, making memories and surrounded by love.

Lacy is preceded in death by her beloved son Chase Wyatt Kimball, her grandparents Vivian “Dolly” Schultz & Roy Robetson, and Cleo Edward Buechmann.
