Larry Luce, 70, of Iola, Texas went to the golden gates of heaven to be with his son Joe Luce on May 15, 2025. A ceremony will be held at 10 am on May 22, 2025 at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan, Texas. Dinner will be served at 7628 Edge School House Rd, Bryan, Texas 77808.
Larry was born on December 27, 1954 in Navasota, Texas to his parents Doris and Fred Luce.
Larry was dedicated to his wife Debra Luce, adopted son Colton Luce, kids Tina, Joe, Ricky, Bobby and daughter-in-law Faye Luce, grandkids Danielle Jacobus, Bridget Jacobus, Chelsea Jacobus, Justin Luce, Aryan Luce, and Joquise and Qureshia.
Growing up Larry was a mischievous child along with his brothers Tim Luce, Doyle Luce, and Wayne Luce. They fought many fights but in the end their love for each other couldn't be any stronger.
He started his brick laying career at the young age of 17. Larry loved all his trucks, but mostly the truck he received from his son Joe. He also had a love for wolves, eagles, and dream catchers. He loved taking his family to the lake and river. He enjoyed spending his time there with his grandkids and kids. He absolutely enjoyed spoiling his great grandkids Ryan, Reagan, Jonathan, Brentleigh, Kaison, Teeghan, Dakota, and Beaux. He also gained an extra 8 grandkids: Tanner, Harlie, Kilee, Tyler, Kenzi, Wyatt, Savannah, and Karson, who he loved and accepted with open arms, just like he did everything in life. He was a family man.
Larry Luce met his wife Debra when he was 17 and she was just 14. They met in high school and have been inseparable ever since they locked eyes on each other. They raised four beautiful kids along with all his grandkids (who he spoiled and maybe loved a little bit more).
Larry never needed any help he was a strong and independent man. He was a provider for everyone he loved. He was selfless and had unreasonable strength. He was the type of man who anyone and everyone could turn to. Larry Luce dealt with stage 4 cancer for 6 long years, that alone shows his resilience and will to be here with his family.
"The world continues to turn but a part of me remains in the past, tracing our footsteps searching for you in all the places we once shared. I miss your voice, your laughter, and the quiet strength that made everything feel okay. If love had the power to bring you back, I know you'd be right here with me."
Larry is reunited in heaven with his parents Doris and Fred Luce, son Joe Luce, brothers Grady Luce, Ollie Luce, and sisters Inez Smith, Geraldine Boyd, and Lorraine Franklin.
