Linda Louise (Lane) Schultz, age 74, passed away on November 25, 2025. Services will be held by Callaway-Jones Funeral Home on Monday, December 1, 2025. Visitation begins at 10am followed by the service at 11am followed by the burial at Steep Hollow Cemetery, Bryan, Texas.
Linda was born on June 6, 1951, in Bryan, Texas to G. Geneva Lane and Louis Edward Lane. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Schultz Jr on December 7, 1968.
She owned a daycare called Wee Luv ‘Em 2 that ran for 20 years. However, she was most noted for being a devoted wife to the love of her life, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and grandmother.
Linda was exceptionally quick-witted and funny. She was a content homebody and enjoyed reading - especially Stephen King books, listening to scary stories on YouTube, and watching her many television shows. She loved to sit and watch the hummingbirds and deer out of her living room windows, she tended to her many plants, and made several oil paintings. She adored her two dogs, Sophie and Athena. Family was the most important thing in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Feller Lane, Will Lane and Otis Lane, sisters Nonie Hyvl and Carol Hyvl, her daughter Stephanie Schultz May, and granddaughter Evelyn “Evie” Schultz. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Schultz, her son Trey Schultz and his wife Shelly Schultz, as well as her grandchildren, Brittany Schultz, Colby May and his wife Roxanne May, Autumn Helton and her husband Colt Helton, Rudy Schultz IV and his wife Emilie Schultz, and Hannah Schultz, as well as her brother-in-laws Alton Hyvl and James Hyvl and many nieces and nephews.
