Melva Nutall

Melva Gonzales Nutall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 66. She was born on April 30, 1958, in Alice, Texas, to Eliborio "E.G" Gonzales and Aminta Anguiano.

Melva graduated from Bryan High School in 1976 and went on to marry the love of her life, William P. Nutall, on July 21,1978. Their marriage was a testament to love and dedication, forming the foundation of a close-knit and devoted family.

She spent 37 years as a Financial Specialist II at Texas A&M University, where her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who knew her. After retiring in 2020, she embraced life with the same dedication she showed in her career-spending time with loved ones, nurturing her garden, staying active at the gym, and making cherished memories at the Bluebonnet and Scarecrow festivals each year.

Above all, Melva will be remembered for her unwavering love and loyalty to her family. She never missed a family gathering, birthday, or celebration, always showing up with kindness and generosity. She was especially devoted to her disabled brother, visiting him every Sunday with food, snacks, and companionship, ensuring he always felt cared for and loved. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she found great joy in taking them on outings and adventures, creating memories they will treasure forever.

Melva was preceded in death by her parents, Eliborio "E.G" Gonzales and Aminta Anguiano, and her grandson, Dacorius "Cori" Leggett.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, William P. Nutall; her two children, Natasha N. Nutall and Joshua X. Nutall; and her cherished grandson, Terrence T. Leggett. She also leaves behind a host of family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Melva's visitation will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 5 pm til 8 pm at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Avenue, Bryan, TX. Funeral service will begin at 12 noon on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home with the graveside services immediately following.
