Mildred T. Zapalac

Mildred Triva Zapalac passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 12, 2025 at Avir Health Group after an unexpected illness. Services will be on Wednesday, November 19th at Callaway-Jones. A rosary will be held at 1:30pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Mount Cavalry Cemetery.

Mildred was born in in Batiste, Oklahoma on October 19th, 1939. She grew up in New Boston, Texas with 3 brothers and 3 sisters who have all preceded her in death. Her life truly became blessed when she met and married the love of her life Henry Charles Zapalac, Jr in Dallas, Texas.

She is joining her husband Henry in heaven. They were married for over 60 years, their anniversary on November 15th. Mildred and Henry raised 7 children together; Tena, Charles, Mary and husband Roy, Richard, Marilyn, Stephanie and her husband Matt. They have 9 grandchildren, Leighan and Stephanie, Taylor and Todd, John and Stephen, Amanda, and Matthew and Maegan. They also have 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Mildred was extremely giving, loving and caring. She was the true definition of selfless. She put her whole heart into everything she did and went out of her way to take care of others.

The family would like to thank the Avir Health Group for their incredible care and hard work. They took wonderful care of Mildred and our family, making her final days full of comfort.
